Working Out with Nature

Equipment is limited, gyms are closed, but working out with nature is still open to us all (at least here in Ohio) during the Coronavirus breakout. Last night, my Rise Up Spartans grabbed our own personal logs from the woods, and took on this adventurous workout!

4 Rounds:
400m Trail run
10 Thrusters
30m Ape Crawl
30m Ape Crawl (opposite way)
200m Log Carry

working out outside

As you’ll find under Prowess Training’s Mission, we believe in performing workouts outdoors, because gaining the grit involved to adapting to the elements is a huge advantage. The mental clarity and affects of outdoor time also has impacts on physical well-being, reducing blood pressure, heart rate, muscle tension, and the production of stress hormones.  Not to mention, we’re all getting tired of being stuck indoors, right?

Need help in staying motivated and how to keep your training going during these difficult times? Consider virtual coaching and a custom training plan, that is designed around what you have available. Don’t have any equipment? No problem.
